GNOME Boxes
Create and run local virtual machines with automatic operating-system defaults. Current Boxes is distributed as a self-contained Flatpak; older TechHut coverage shows the earlier GNOME implementation.
Boxes focuses on creating and running local virtual machines with relatively little setup. It uses operating-system information to choose suitable defaults and bundles the virtualization components it needs in its Flatpak distribution. This makes it a convenient way to try another operating system or keep a separate test environment available from a Linux desktop.
